Listeners can arrive at 2 p.m. to start a whole afternoon and evening with The King himself, lauded as the leading Elvis Presley impersonator in Las Vegas. Big Ray and the Kool Kats will open the evening.
Featured by the nonprofit Bolling Haxall House (historically known as the Woman's Club), you can enjoy a historic setting that dates back to 1858 as you listen to Candlelight: Christmas Carols on Strings. This is an unforgettable multi-sensory music experience that you can enjoy on Thursday, December 12, or on Friday, December 20, with two showings in the evening. You'll hear more than 12 Christmas classics in one hour.
Come to the Libby Samantha Gottwald Playhouse at Richmond's Dominion Energy Center to see The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical, which will run from December 13 through December 22. You'll have a choice of 6:30 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. showings, with doors opening one hour prior to showtime. If you choose to drop in during the December 21 6:30 program, you'll even have a chance to meet Santa Claus himself.
Head down to the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen for Wild, Wacky, and Truly Wondrous Women of Song: Christmas, Take 2, which will be happening on December 17 from 7:00 p.m. through 9. This is an encore performance of one of the most popular events of recent years here in Glen Allen. Taking place inside at the second stage, with general seating set up in the Cardinal Ballroom, it's an evening of Christmas classics.
Last but certainly not least, you won't want to miss out on what the Henrico Theatre has in store on December 10 at 7:00 p.m.: it's the annual Henrico Pops Chorus Holiday Concert. The Pops Chorus is truly a hometown treasure and kicks off the run-up to Christmas with this special event every year. Under the very talented direction of Jennifer Grundy and accompanied by Sarah Cothern, it is sure to be a memorable one!
